Introduction to crane operation terminology. Familiarize common requirements in crane maintenance and inspection. Habituate the main crane controls, safety devices, working limitations, associated risks and safe practices to be followed by an offshore crane operator. Guidelines for lifting the crane with various supply items including pipe, personnel, drilling fluid, food, casing and other various supply items. Lessons which help them to take in all the dimensional aspects up and down, paired with the load's size so as to prepare accurately for its lifting.

In order to obtain certification, the participants have to take up tests and achieve the pre-set minimum pass mark.
